The Hero You Carry
The hero I am waiting for may be quieter than I imagined: the part of me that can ask for help, rest when it needs to, and still leave room for another beginning.
I do not think believing in myself means believing I can manage everything alone. There are losses, limits and circumstances that confidence cannot undo. Struggling inside them is not a failure of character.
What I want to keep is a little room for the next possibility. Sometimes that is a step I can take. Sometimes it is admitting that I cannot take it without help. Sometimes it is resting before I know what comes next.
The word hero can make this sound grander than it feels. Much of it happens quietly, without anyone seeing a transformation. A person accepts company. An unfinished task waits. A difficult day is allowed to end without becoming a verdict on the rest of a life.
Faith in myself can include trusting that I am worth helping. I do not have to turn every hard moment into proof that I can carry it alone.
